Mary Lessmann is an Episcopal Priest, Speaker, Writer, and Enneagram Specialist.
Mary has served as a priest at congregations in the Diocese of Dallas since 2009. She recently retired from her position as Associate for Spiritual Growth at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas, Texas, having served there for almost nine years.
Recipient of the W. B. DeJernett Award in Homiletics, Mary is a gifted and entertaining preacher. In addition to her class offerings at Saint Michael, Mary has lived into her love of teaching through conferences and retreats. Her great interest in the human condition and how we approach our “one wild and precious life” (as poet Mary Oliver asks) led her into study of the Enneagram, a personality tool used for spiritual work.
In her former life, Mary was a CPA. As a young wife and mother, she had an intense experience – affectionately known as ‘the Chuck E. Cheese incident’ - that led her to seminary and the discernment of her call into ordained ministry. She earned her B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University and her M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology at SMU.
Mary is married to Russ and they have two adult sons. When not in Dallas, Mary and Russ can be found exploring a new locale or climbing a mountain.
